Poem Again by Edel Pace

Raging anguish in my heart,
bone drilling agitation,
fueled by the pain
in my feelings.

Love is truant,
it’s fire smother.
Death on a hunt,
a life was taken.

Like the warm ocean in June,
waiting for the cold air,
the news pushed me aside,
And my life drifted.

By eternal decree
– your life lifted.

The flame of life
has gone ballistic,
does not know of direction,
it cannot feel.

Wandering through the woods,
Rain forests,
Deserted beaches,
Bouncing of the tundras.

Death left despair
– a void.

Nothing seems normal,
The fog will not dissipate.
The soul broken in pieces;
gold cannot repair.

Living in slow motion is not life;
the thought of you brings joy.
Help me.
Would I ever be the same?

The warm strength of your love
met the coldness of reality,
yet, with hurricane fury, your love,
a cosmos affair gave me life -again.
